Alice vs. Wonderland
adapted by Brendan Shea
based on the stories by Lewis Caroll

Produced by Theatrix
November 2016
Lincoln, NE
Director's Note:
Alice vs. Wonderland, like the stories on which this play is based, is a coming-of-age story. It's about growing up as a young adult in a mad, constantly changing world whose shifting internet landscape is something entirely unique to our generation. This new world opens many doors and allows us to present ourselves any way we choose (or any six ways we choose).
This play, like Lewis Carroll's classic poems, asks Alice the eternal question, "Who are you?" I hope that this show helps you realize that, young or old, 21st-century or 19th-century, it's alright to be unsure. Like the world around us, we are constantly changing, even from moment to moment. All we can really do is get used to it and try our best with what we have.
Welcome to Wonderland, and enjoy the show.
